Ayden Gerber, a senior at Waynesville High School, has been named the WHS Rotary Student of the Month for January. His parents are Jeremy and Kyla Gerber.
Gerber's nominator stated, “Ayden has always put others first. On the soccer team he was the last to leave the field after home or away games, ensuring everything was cleaned up and put away. He has been dedicated to the culinary arts program spending extra time helping in a variety of ways. Ayden wants people to be happy and works to continuously put others before himself.”
Gerber is an outstanding student with a 3.5 grade point average and 96.61% attendance rate for all four years of high school. He is actively involved in soccer at WHS and the culinary arts program at the Waynesville Career Center. Gerber has played varsity soccer his entire high school career and has volunteered at the middle school soccer camps. Through the culinary arts program, Gerber has volunteered countless hours, selling bread for fundraisers and assisting with the Father Daughter Dance. Gerber is currently training to be a part of the SkillsUSA competition. Upon graduation, Gerber plans to use his A+ Scholarship at State Fair and then transfer to Missouri State University. He would like to become a Michelin or private chef. #wayschools
