Thank you to our WMS Student Council members for leading their peers in the MLK Day of service by creating items that will be distributed throughout our community.
MLK Day of service provided Waynesville Middle School students with a meaningful opportunity to connect with our community while honoring Dr. King's legacy. The dog toys, laundry detergent, bookmarks, cards for first responders, bird feeders, and kindness rocks created today will make a lasting impact.
There will be no school in the Waynesville R-VI School District on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
There will be no school on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, for a teacher in-service day.

There will be no in-person school in the Waynesville R-VI School District on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025; however, Waynesville R-VI students will attend school virtually this morning as this is an AMI day.
School will be in session using an Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI online) from 8:30 a.m. to noon for grades K-12 and Parker Preschool.
Williams Early Childhood Center AM classes will be online from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. and Williams PM classes will be online from 10:15 a.m. to noon.

Both Waynesville Middle School and High School programs will have practices, but Activity buses will not run tonight.
The Waynesville R-VI School District will be running snow routes on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025. When the district runs snow routes in the morning, it will run snow routes in the afternoon.
Great job to everyone for successful AMI days on Jan. 6, 7 and 8, 2025, and congratulations to our classes in grades 6th-12th grades with perfect attendance! (Grades PreK-5th grades were published in a separate post.)
