
Here is an update on WMS Athletic events this week:

There will be no in-person school in the Waynesville R-VI School District on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025; however, Waynesville R-VI students will attend school virtually tomorrow morning as this is an AMI day.
School will be in session using an Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI online) from 8:30 a.m. to noon for grades K-12 and Parker Preschool.
Williams Early Childhood Center AM classes will be online from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. and Williams PM classes will be online from 10:15 a.m. to noon.

NOTES: All inclement weather "snow day" days are AMI days in the morning. If an inclement weather day occurs on a Wednesday, online learning will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The Waynesville R-VI School District will be dismissing school early today (Friday, Dec. 20, 2024) as follows:
· Noon Grades 6-12 dismiss
· 12:45 p.m. Parker dismisses
· 1 p.m. Grades K-5 dismiss
· No afternoon sessions at Williams
There will be no school in the Waynesville R-VI School District on Dec. 23, 2024 – Jan. 3, 2025.
District offices will be closed Dec. 23, 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1.

Boys Basketball ran into two tough and well oiled machines in Nixa.
Both A teams lost. They will pick back up after break on the 6th!


Your WMS Boys Basketball Tigers travelled south to Nixa tonight to take on the Eagles.
At the half 7th and 8th grade A teams are down, looking to battle back in the second half.



I apologize for the lack of updates, had poor cellphone reception and the updates wouldn't load.
Finals from the night:
7th grade A- battled a tough Yellowjacket team and came up short. They will regroup and get back in action on Thursday in Nixa.
7th grade B- string together some big runs and walked away with a nice victory tonight.
8th grade A and B both worked well and found rhythm in the night. Each earned big victories!





WMS boys basketball travelled down I-44 tonight to take on the Lebanon Yellow Jackets.
At the half:
8th grade B up 7.
7th grade A down 7.


Waynesville Middle School Student Council members volunteered to ring bells with the Salvation Army on Dec. 11, 2024. Student Council members showed true holiday spirit while serving our community. #wayschools


Here is the WMS Athletics schedule for the week. Girls and Boys Wrestling will have their final dual of the season on Wednesday at home. Come cheer on your Tigers!

7th grade GBB Tigers fought hard the whole time but fell short with some execution. Keep your heads up and working hard Tigers!

WMS 7th grade Girls Basketball are taking on the Jarrett Trojans tonight at WMS.
Fighting hard early, down 6-2 end of the 1st quarter!

Dec 2-6 was College & Career Awareness Week at WMS.
Along with spirit dress days, we had several activities for kids to participate in, Mascot Quiz Games and Personal College Pennants.
One of the activities was the Disguise of a Snowman as a College or Career Theme.
Kristian Hauer was voted as the best Career Snowman, with his SWAT Team Officer.
Vivien Liu was voted as the best College Snowman with her Phantom Band Conductor.
