Late-start Wednesdays
All schools start 30 minutes later on Wednesdays than the other days of the week in the Waynesville R-VI School District.
Buses also run 30 minutes later on Wednesday mornings only.
For example, if your child normally gets on the bus at 7:20 a.m. and their school begins at 8:30 a.m., then on Wednesdays the bus will arrive at 7:50 a.m. and school will begin at 9 a.m.
Dismissal times do not change on Wednesdays.
Waynesville teachers embrace the Professional Learning Community model and classes begin 30 minutes late each Wednesday to allow teachers to collaborate on best practices.

On Wednesdays, the a.m. session begins at 9 a.m. and doors open at 8:55 a.m. The WECC begins at 12:15 for the p.m. session and dismisses at 3:15 for the p.m. session.
- Parker Educational Center begins at 8:15 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and dismisses at 3:05 p.m. On Wednesdays, Parker begins at 8:45 a.m. and doors open at 8:35 a.m.

Waynesville R-VI will not be using Traversa Ride360 for our transportation app this year, so you may wish to remove it. We are excited about the features our new app will offer; however, it is not yet ready to be implemented. We anticipate that it will be ready in late September!
