Lercher ranked #2 in Youth Olympic Weightlifting

Brooklynn Lercher, an 8^th grade student at Waynesville Middle School, is currently ranked #2 in the nation in Youth Olympic Weightlifting (U14-15 age group, 49kg weight group) by USA Weightlifting.  Her competition totals are 107kg across the snatch and clean and jerk lifts.

Brooklynn is coached by Timothy Cole at Lebanon Barbell Club and began Olympic Weightlifting competitions in the summer of 2022.  She has since earned 1^st place in the MO State & Open Championship; the KS State & Open Championship; and, most recently, at the MO Valley WSO Championship. 

Lercher has qualified for Nike Youth Nationals which will be held at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in June.
