Werner named WHS Student of the Month
Kiley Werner, a senior at Waynesville High School, has been selected as the Rotary WHS Student of the Month for February 2023 for representing the character trait of honesty.
Werner is the daughter of Frank and Karri Werner and was nominated by one of her teachers for speaking up and discretely reporting to her teacher about something that was wrong. “Kiley did what was right, even though she worried about the reactions of others, and even though it took time out of her day. If no one speaks up when something inappropriate takes place, positive change is a lot more difficult. I was proud of Kiley's decision to be a positive voice!"
Werner carries a 4.022 grade point average. She has taken two Advanced Placement and dual credit classes. Her future plans are to attend Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo., and major in psychology with a potential double major in marketing.
