Waynesville Middle School hosted a penny war Nov. 15-17, resulting in the 7th grade White team raising the most money and being rewarded with Hero time and ice cream. All proceeds are being donated to the WMS Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is located in the WMS counselors office where tree ornaments list gifts for students in need. Funds from the penny drive, along with teacher donations, are used to provide gifts for the students.
