Hubbard receives Army Values Leadership Award

Johnathan Hubbard, a senior at Waynesville High School, received an Army Values Leadership Award from Fort Leonard Wood on Oct. 18, 2022. Hubbard was selected to represent the word duty for his commitment and dedication to his teammates and being part of a team. The Army states, “Doing your duty means more than carrying out your assigned tasks. Duty means being able to accomplish tasks as part of a team.”

One of his nominators said, “He is always one of the first people to help a teammate in need and makes sure to say positive things to those around him. He is one of the first people to ask how someone’s day is going and then lets them know to have a good day when the conversation is over. He is always smiling and a happy person.”
