Salvation Army donates $6,649 to Snack in a Pack
The Salvation Army has donated $6,649 to the Snack in a Pack program at the Waynesville R-VI School District. A portion of the money was used to purchase Ramen noodles, ravioli, and macaroni and cheese. Pictured at right are Tina Rowden, coordinator of grant management, and Cheryl Vernon, who serves as the honorary chair of the Tree of Lights Campaign along with her husband, Rick Vernon.
The Waynesville R-VI Snack in a Pack program currently serves approximately 750 students--more than double last year's count--with meals over weekends and holidays. Instructions on how to donate online are at https://www.waynesville.
