Waynesville takes 1st in Special Olympics Division M02
Waynesville R-VI students took 1st place in their division in Special Olympics basketball, Division M02, in March. This is the first year for WHS student Austin LaCoe, and Waynesville Middle School students Hunter McDonald and Jeremiah Smith and Preston Ross to play together as a team.
"They had to beat two high school teams to make it happen, but they worked very hard," said Justine Swan, the Special Olympics basketball coach. "I'm excited to see where this team will end up!"
