WHS to present play, "Almost, Maine"

Waynesville High School Drama Club and Thespian Troupe 1669 will present “Almost, Maine” at 7 p.m. on April 15, 16, 23 and 24 and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, in the Waynesville High School Auditorium. 

A mask is required for all attendees and social distancing will be in place to the extent possible. Tickets are $5 for adults; $4 for staff and students; and $3 for children age 10 and under and may be purchased at http://our.show/almost. The play is suggested for audiences age 11 and up.

The website states the following about the play:  Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.
