Mike Freeman of Sellers-Sexton Ford Lincoln Mazda presented Mary Myers, a kindergarten teacher at East Elementary, with the Teacher of the Quarter Award for her project “Darling data with a destination” during the March 22 Waynesville R-VI Board of Education meeting.
The Project Teach Award includes a $100 stipend from the dealership for the leadership project. Through the project, kindergartners are keeping leadership binders with data collected on their individual goals on color cardstock paper. Individual “brag tags” celebrate milestones.
