Dr. Brian Henry, superintendent, praised East Elementary staff members during their Super Session on March 12 for:
maintaining seated school for 100% of the school year
bringing discipline referrals down by more than 70% from last year and using the 5-step discipline process, the Student Support Team and PBiS interventions
continuing to implement Leader In Me
creating and maintaining engaging extra-curricular clubs after school, including East Fliers Run Club, Art Club, Coding Club, Honor Choir and Robotics Club.
nearing proficient or advanced (75% or above) on 21 standards in grades K-5
kindergartners and second graders making significant growth from benchmark 1 to benchmark 2 on the STAR reading assessment
1st graders and 5th graders meeting their goal (80% proficient or advanced) on STAR math test for benchmark 2
