Gomez named WHS Student of the Month

Jaden Gomez, a Waynesville High School junior, was driving to school one morning when he noticed a vehicle hanging off the side of the road. Recognizing the potentially dangerous situation, he pulled over, stopped and called 911. He then got out of the vehicle and stayed with the woman and her baby until emergency vehicles arrived.

For his handling of the situation, Gomez has been named the Waynesville High School February Rotary Student of the Month and was recognized during the March meeting of the Rotary Club of Pulaski County. Gomez is the son of Illa and Jimmy Gomez and a member of JROTC.
