Students at Williams study pets and pet ownership
Students in Tami Schneider’s class at Williams Early Childhood Center started off the pet unit by creating their own animal shelter. When students walked into the shelter, they picked out a “pet” and then took it to the “veterinarian” where the pet received its shots. Students then were able to take their pets to their class during the rest of pet week. In addition to teaching the students about the responsibilities of pet ownership, the students also learned about the kinds of work that veterinarians do.
