Dr. Brian Henry, superintendent, praised Thayer Elementary staff members during their Super Session on Oct. 23 for:
- setting high expectations for student learning and showing student growth at each grade level
- focusing on all students making gains to reach 100% of their Learning Targets by the end of the year
- offering coding and robotics to about 30 students
- using their Book Vending Machine to reward students for positive behavior for exhibiting the 7 Habits.
- maintaining communication with parents through virtual meetings and other avenues
- developing a culture and climate of the Seven Habits and Leader in Me and including families in the learning process
- keeping a strong positive emotional environment during the pandemic
