Mike Freeman of Sellers-Sexton Ford Lincoln Mazda presented Joanie Kampmeier, a teacher at Freedom Elementary, with the Teacher of the Quarter Award for her project “Witch’s Brew.”
The Project Teach Award includes a $100 stipend from the dealership to help purchase ingredients for a witch’s brew. The third graders in Kampmeier’s class will work with a partner to predict what they think will happen when two or more ingredients are combined together. The students will experiment with variables (multiple ingredients) until they create a bubbling witch’s brew that uses both wet and dry ingredients and the fewest ingredients possible.
