All 9th graders and all new students entering grades 10, 11 and 12 should register for the Aug. 14 Freshman/New Student Transition Day Waynesville High School by going to https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1-QWDhvBskAxPhpMiWWrfQnnE29wdaSUYejs4EfP1Zu4/edit.
Transition Day is an opportunity for all incoming freshmen and all new students in grades 10-12 who have moved into the Waynesville R-VI School District to tour the high school, meet their mentors and learn school procedures.
To maintain social distancing guidelines, WHS will hold two in-person sessions of Freshman/New Student Transition Day on Aug. 14, 2020. Students with the last names beginning with A-K are asked to attend the morning session from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and students with last names beginning with L- Z are asked to attend the afternoon session from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.
The deadline to submit the registration form is 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7.
Limited bus transportation will be provided on Aug. 14. All students are required to wear a mask when they ride the bus, enter the school and when they are unable to practice social distancing. A free individually packaged sack lunch will be provided for students.
Parents are asked to register for one of two virtual parent sessions (8:30 a.m. or 3:30 p.m.) that will also be held on Aug. 14.
