Williams students to receive free meals at school through Dec. 18

Williams Early Childhood Center will begin serving free meals to students, starting Sept. 14, 2020, and continue through Dec. 18, 2020.  Free breakfast will begin being available at 8 a.m. for the morning students and lunch will begin being available at noon for the afternoon students. Partridge and Wood kitchen staffs will prepare the meals.

“This expansion of free meals to our pre-K students provides our Williams families with one less thing to worry about during this pandemic,” said Dr. Brian Henry, superintendent. “I applaud our Partridge and Wood kitchens for stepping up to make the extra meals that will help students focus on learning.”

Unfortunately, this program will end on Dec. 18, 2020, as the funds are only being provided through the end of the calendar year.  Funds for breakfast and lunch meals are being provided through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and the meals are being prepared in partnership with OPAA!

Students will eat the free meals in their classrooms before school starts. The meals will replace the snacks that students had received.
