TigerTV is operated by the Video Production Program at Waynesville Career Center. High school students enrolled in the program handle all technical aspects of the broadcasts under the supervision of their instructor.

“As you are viewing our broadcasts, please remember that the live broadcasts are the work of high school students who are learning about this industry,” said Tim Wallace, video production instructor. “Therefore, a fall semester live event is the first time many students have ever operated a professional video camera, switch board, or audio mixer in a real-world scenario. Additionally, as part of their curriculum students often switch job duties during a live broadcast to gain further experience.”

The live broadcasts can be viewed on the following platforms:

1)    Cable America – Local 12

2)    Waynesville Channel 12 & TigerTV Facebook Page: facebook.com/waynesvillech12

3)    Waynesville TigerTV YouTube Channel: youtube.com/WaynesvilleR6

Tentative schedules are announced above and final schedules will be posted on all three platforms. Facebook users should like or follow the TigerTV Facebook page to receive notifications when TigerTV is live. YouTube users can subscribe to the channel to receive notifications on that platform. Fans do not have to sign in or create an account on either platform to view the games in a web browser, but may be required to do so to use the platform’s app on their mobile device. TigerTV broadcasts in high-definition on YouTube and Facebook. Viewers with a smart TV or set-top streaming device can enjoy the games on their big screen by using the YouTube app included with most devices or by installing the free Facebook Watch app.

Waynesville TigerTV does not provide technical assistance and recommends viewers consult their device owner’s manual for more information.

This year, extra safety precautions are in place for students and staff. In addition to answering screening questions, students and staff will wear masks and/or maintain a 6-foot social distance during events. Equipment used at broadcasts will be sanitized.

Please note that Channel 12 is a government access channel. It is a collaboration between the Waynesville R-VI School District and the cities of Saint Robert and Waynesville. The monthly meeting of each governing body will take precedence over sports events.
