Candidates for valedictorian and salutatorian named

Waynesville High School has announced that Anna Hilburgh is the candidate for Valedictorian and Evan Nitchman is the candidate for Salutatorian of the WHS Class of 2020. 

The selection process was based on the following: 

1) highest GPA to 3 decimal places at the end of the 7th semester

2) enrolled in 8 semesters of high school

3) a minimum of 5 advanced classes (AP)

4) had to meet college prep requirements: ACT above national average (at least a 21) and two years of a foreign language

5)  95% or higher attendance
