3 WHS students accepted to Boys State

Three Waynesville High School students – Grant Kindred, Bryan O’Barr and William Schenkenfelder – have been accepted to participate in the 2020 American Legion Boys State of Missouri program on June 13-20, 2020.

Missouri Boys State promotes the idea that the individual is the one with the power to change the world. Whether athlete or politician, journalist or scientist, each individual has the power to make a difference in the world.

Using the democratic system as a basis, Boys State participants construct their own state. The learn about the need for competition, the value of public service and the strength of the individual voice and vote.
