Ninth grade science teachers Tammy Davison and Kelly Jackson cooked up an experiment to test students’ knowledge of thermodynamics. Students in their classes at Waynesville High School experimented by creating heterogeneous and homogeneous mixtures. The following day, a panel of judges evaluated their food and their use of the “secret” ingredient, Cheerios.
