Partridge hosts Unity Walk

Sheryl Lamme and Ruth Ponce-Batts collaborated on Partridge’s Unity Walk, which was held on Oct. 23. Each student and staff member designed a fabric strip expressing their identity during Lamme’s art class. Students first tied, then braided the fabric pieces together, creating a rope symbolizing that together we are united and stronger. Students carried the rope during their Unity Walk to show that together they stand against bullying. All students were paired together and answered “get to know you” questions that were posted throughout the walk. The students learned that being an upstander can be as simple as being friendly to someone you may not know.
