Free WIN program expands to 6th-8th graders

Free WIN program expands to 6th-8th graders

The after-school program “What I Need Now” will expand to Waynesville Middle School and be free for students in grades 6th, 7th and 8th for the 2019-20 school year, thanks to a grant from the Army Program in Your Neighborhood.  The WIN after-school program at Waynesville High School will be available again this year and remain free for the upcoming school year.

The What I Need (WIN) afterschool program runs Monday-Thursday from 2:45-5 p.m. and there are no registration fees. Parents will need to register their students for the program and students will need to sign-in each day that they participate. The program includes academic assistance time, privilege time and club time. Students who stay after for WIN time may ride the activity bus home.

Information about signing up for the program will be available at the start of the school year.

The WIN program will begin at both the middle and high school on Monday, Aug.  19.
