All Waynesville athletes need physicals this year

All Waynesville Middle School and High School athletes must have a new MSHSAA physical for the 2019-20 school year, per the Waynesville R-VI Athletics Office.

The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) recently announced that it will allow its physicals to be in effect for two years; however, the Waynesville R-VI Athletics Office is requiring all athletes to turn in a completed MSHSAA physical form to participate in athletics for the 2019-20 school year.

“We want all of our students to start with a physical this year to ensure the safety of all student-athletes as we transition to the new two-year model adopted by MSHSAA.  With the influx of new students, transition of MSHSAA rules, and volume of physicals per year, it is in the best interest of everyone,” said Athletics Director Cory Ace.

Waynesville reserves the right to require a new physical for an athlete at any time.
