6th graders celebrate their attendance success
Waynesville Sixth Grade Center was recently honored for outstanding attendance, receiving a special certificate of recognition. WSGC had the highest attendance from all Waynesville secondary schools, finishing with 91.27%.
The traveling “tiger” has proudly taken up residence in the Sixth Grade Center cafeteria to represent this achievement. WSGC also received the award for meeting 90/90 for the second quarter.
As a reward, WSGC Principal Jamie Goforth declared a pajama day on Feb. 5 so the school could celebrate their success. Students and staff enjoyed their special day and are even more determined to maintain their high attendance status to keep that tiger in the building.
