WMDS celebrates Red Ribbon Spirit Week
The Waynesville Middle School Student Council spearheaded several activities throughout the Red Ribbon Spirit Week as part of their anti-drug campaign. Seventh and eighth graders started the week off by wearing red on Monday, Oct. 23, and attending an assembly. They also gave drugs the boot by wearing western-style clothes, reminded students that drugs are wacky by wearing mismatched clothes and fixing their hair in a crazy style and dressed for success showing that drugs have no part of their future. A cup display in the fence also brought the drug-free message home for students and their families.
