7th and 8th grade boys win Ozark Conference

On Tuesday, May 7, Springfield Public Schools hosted the Middle School Ozark Conference Track and Field Meet at JFK Stadium on the Parkview Campus. This meet is a unique opportunity for middle school students to go up against athletes from schools that they will compete with during high school in the Ozark Conference. The top 8 places are awarded medals on a podium in the middle of the stadium, much like the State Track and Field Meet, giving students a chance to see what that experience could be like for them one day if they continue to work hard. Last year was the first Middle School Ozark Conference Meet.

For the 2nd year in a row the 8th Grade Boys Waynesville Middle School Tigers took first in their division and are Ozark Conference Champions.

The 7th Grade Boys team completed an undefeated track and field season with 1st place team finishes in all meets this year, capping it off with the 7th Grade Boys Ozark Conference title.
