District hosts 1st bullying prevention session at Partridge Elem.

District hosts 1st  bullying prevention  session at Partridge Elem. 

The Waynesville R-VI School District hosted its first bullying prevention session on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Partridge Elementary. Hilary Bales, assistant superintendent of personnel services and Joshua Alexander, a school resource officer, gave the presentation to the families present.

Two more bullying prevention sessions will be offered from 5 to 6 p.m. on the following dates at the following locations:

• March 5    -    Freedom Elementary Library

• March 26  -    Waynesville High School

All parents and their students in Pre-K through 12th grades are welcome to attend any one of the above sessions, regardless of the school their child attends. The same information will be delivered during each session.   

Bullying prevention is the first topic to be addressed in the district’s PRIDE program, which stands for positivity, respect, individualism, development and education.
