The American Culinary Federation conducted a site visit of the Culinary Arts program at the Waynesville Career Center Feb. 5-7 as part of the program’s accreditation process. The program is under the direction of Jon Dye, culinary arts instructor.
Culinary Arts provides students with basic food knowledge, management practices and hands-on experience to prepare them for careers in the hospitality industry. Students develop skills, competencies and experience to prepare them to be entry-level managers and skilled-level employees in the foodservice industry.
In the photo, American Culinary Federation representatives, members of the Waynesville R-VI Board of Education, Waynesville R-VI administrators and Waynesville R-VI Foundation Board members were among those present for a reception on Wednesday, Feb. 6.
