Tiger Culture Night to be Jan. 29;
free food samples to be provided

Waynesville High School students will host Tiger Culture Night starting at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, in the gym at Waynesville High School before the varsity boys basketball game against St. Louis Christian Academy.

The public is invited to attend. Tiger fans are encouraged to wear black to the game.

“I want to promote awareness of how diverse and unique our community is,” said Jasmine Moore, a WHS freshman and the event’s organizer. Moore serves on the district’s Diversity Committee.

Tiger Culture Night participants include middle school and high school students, Special Olympians and Fort Leonard Wood International Military Students who will be stationed at more than 20 tables on the mezzanine level of the gym. WHS family and consumer science students will provide different foods for attendees to sample. Free drawings for prizes will be held as well.

There is no charge for Tiger Culture Night activities; however, admission to the game ($4 per person without a pass) is required.

There will be no freshman or JV games on this evening and the stations will close at 5:55 p.m. so that all attendees may return to the main level for the game.
