Soldiers thank kindergartners for holiday cards

When Mary Myers’ kindergarten students created cards for soldiers and sent them overseas for the holidays, they wondered if they would bring happiness to the soldiers who were serving away from home.

The kindergartners no longer have to wonder if they had an impact. First Lieutenant Cory Gleason sent a letter to Myers and her class that included the following, “We recently received all of your wonderful and magical letters. … These letters helped lift our spirits and remember why we decided to serve our country. I have enclosed some pictures of our Unit so that you don’t have to use your imagination to picture our smiles.”
