Carey Drehle, the principal at Freedom Elementary, has been named as one of MAESP Missouri Distinguished Prinicipal Honorees.

“This is a great honor for Mrs. Drehle, who leads one of the largest elementary schools in the state with more than 900 students,” said Dr. Brian Henry, superintendent. “Mrs. Drehle is a strong instructional leader who successfully led the building’s transition into three ‘houses’ that help create a small-school feel for families and provide teachers and administrators with opportunities to better know the students and their families. Mrs. Drehle builds positive relationships with her faculty and has high expectations for our staff and students.”

Drehle will be recognized during the Annual Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals’ (MAESP) banquet on March 2 at Tan-Tar-A in Osage Beach.
