Evans named WMDS Student of the Month


Olivia Evans, an eighth grader at Waynesville Middle School, has been named the Waynesville Middle School Rotary Student of the Month and was honored Tuesday Jan. 15th, 2019, at the monthly meeting of the Rotary Club of Pulaski County.

She is the daughter of Jeremy and Heather Evans and is an outstanding student at WMDS. Evans received “A” Honor Roll her 7th grade year and was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. She currently serves as 2nd vice president for National Junior Honor Society and holds a 4.0 GPA. She is taking high school courses in Algebra 1 and Spanish 2. Evans played for the WMDS volleyball team and plays percussion instruments for the WMDS Advanced Band. She plans to study animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her career goal or “dream job” is to work for PIXAR animation studios.
