Lt. Gen. Theodore D. Martin, the Deputy Commanding General/Chief of Staff, United States Army Training and Doctrine Command, met with Waynesville R-VI and Waynesville Career Center leaders before visiting the Waynesville’s JROTC program at the Waynesville Career Center on Friday, Dec. 14.

“It was a pleasure to host Lieutenant General Martin,” Henry said. “He heard first-hand how proud and supportive we are of our JROTC program and witnessed how it helps develop our students into effective leaders – not only in the program, but also in the school.”

In his meeting with JROTC cadets, Lt. Gen. Martin challenged the students to never stop climbing and to return in four years and help inspire the next generation of cadets.
