Swimmer headed to state; SW championship results

The Waynesville High School varsity boys swim team made history at the Southwestern Missouri Championship swim meet on Oct. 26 and 27 in Springfield, Mo.

“As a first-year program, the boys exceeded expectations,” stated Swim Coach Amber Earl.

Joshua Adank swam in the finals of the 50 and 100 Free coming in 4th in the 50 Free and 7th in the 100 Free.

Nic Greening, Dustin Myers and Andrea Diaferio swam the finals of the 200 IM.

Relay team A – Jose Bouchereau, Nic Greening, Andrea Diaferio and Joshua Adank – swam in the finals of both the 200 and 400 free relay coming in 12th in both events.

Friday night Joshua Adank swam the 50 free in 22.71 seconds, just under the automatic state cut time of 22.79. He will be the first Tiger to swim in the state meet on Nov 9 and 10 in St. Peters.
