Testing Resources

    Tests Offered at WHS

    Counselors assist in the coordination and administration of group testing as well as interpreting scores and making educational recommendations to the students, parents, and teachers. The following are the list of tests offered each year. Students must take at least one ACT, SAT, ASVAB, or WorKeys exam before graduating. 

    • PSAT Test - Grades 10 (grade level) and 11 (optional)
      • At the junior level, students have the chance to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
    • ASVAB - Grades 11 and 12
      • Military entrance exam
      • College and career prep resource
    • ACT and SAT Test - Grades 11 and 12
      • College entrance exams
    • WorkKeys - Grades 11 and 12
      • Test used for those entering the workforce
      • Can gain certification to include on resume
    • AP comprehensive test in AP courses - Any student enrolled in an AP exam
    • End of Course Exams: Algebra I, Biology, English 10, Government

ACT

  • Register for the ACT at act.org

    If it is your first time registering for the ACT, give yourself about 40 minutes to an hour. Be prepared to answer questions about academic history and college/career interests. You will make your payment online using a credit card. You will then be requested to upload a photo. After uploading your photo, you can print your test ticket. Bring the test ticket and a photo ID to your testing site on testing day.

SAT

  • Register for the ACT at sat.org/register

    If it is your first time registering for the SAT, give yourself about 40 minutes to an hour. Be prepared to answer questions about academic history and college/career interests. You will make your payment online using a credit card. Print and bring your test ticket and a photo ID to your testing site on testing day.
