Williams Elementary and Early Childhood Center houses three early childhood programs that are available to the Waynesville R-VI School District residents.

ECSE The Early Childhood Special Education Program is a free and public service provided by the Waynesville School District and services children who are three-years to kindergarten age with educationally disabling conditions. Students who are eligible for the program participate in a special education evaluation process and have an individualized education program (IEP) in place to meet their needs. Children with disabling conditions are those who demonstrate significant delays in one or more of these areas:
    • vision/hearing
    • speech/language
    • intellectual functioning
    • overall development
    • rate of learning and/or
    • social/emotional development

PACE  is a federally funded program providing services to children ages three to five (non-kindergarten) years of age who are potty trained.  Services are provided at no cost to eligible children and eligibility is determined through a developmental screening process. Our purpose is to overcome as many concerns as possible by involving children in developmentally appropriate activities, and to enhance and empower parents to better teach their children.

PACE is a Title 1 Preschool offered by the Waynesville R-VI School District.

PAT is a family education and support program that begins prenatal through age 3.  It is a flexible program for all parents of young children and provides timely information on child development and neuroscience research.  The program involves parents in parent-child activities that encourage language, intellectual, social and motor development.
