My name is Jamie Goforth, and I am honored to be starting my third year as principal of the Waynesville 6th Grade Center. In the past, I have taught fifth grade and served as assistant principal of a fourth and fifth-grade building in the Lebanon School District. I truly enjoyed getting to work with students during those beginning years of school. I am excited to be working with sixth-grade students as they begin their journey into middle school. Teaching sixth-grade students has been a passion of mine for a very long time. It is my belief that this age is a very pivotal one and one where great strides can be made in empowering all students to reach their highest potential. I am a strong proponent of teamwork and teaching the “whole” child.
I have been married to my husband, Jamie, for 17 years and we have one son, Jackson, who is 13. When I am not at school, I treasure spending time with family, being my son’s baseball team’s loudest supporter, and of course shopping.
Again, I am truly honored to get to serve the community in this capacity. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure that all students have the opportunity to reach their highest potential. Please feel free to visit our school anytime or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
