Mr. Eric Thornburg

Welcome to Waynesville! I've been teaching since 2005, and have been with the Waynesville School District since 2007. Prior to teaching, I had a career in restaurant management. While that experience helped me learn to lead employees and serve customers, it left me unfulfilled regarding purpose. After going back to school in 2000 and finally earning my degree in education, I began teaching in 2005 with St. Louis Public Schools.

Teaching is my true passion and excitement for what tomorrow may bring. I work hard at providing students with the best possible learning environment, while making social studies relevant to their lives.

Along with teaching, I serve as the Head Boys Soccer coach for WHS.

I hold a BA in Social Studies Education and a Masters in Administration.
