I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee one block behind the Graceland Mansion.
I have 2 children. My son, Morris, is 29 years old and is a college football coach at Oklahoma State University. My daughter, Bethany, is 22 years old. As a senior in college, she is studying secondary education at the University of Memphis. Bethany is also a volleyball coach for ECS (Evangelical Christian School) in Memphis, Tenessee.
My hobbies are all sports, especially golf and playing music (drummer - played professionally before I was a teacher). I also enjoy cooking.
While there are many components to the education of a child, I feel the student/teacher relationship is one of the most important.
Through the years as an educator, I feel fortunate to have the experience of working with students from kindergarten to the 12th grade and working with all type of students with various abilities. I am grateful for my teaching career and grateful for the students, teachers, and administrators that I have worked with along the way. The 2018-2019 school year will be my 27th year of teaching. For the past three years, I have taught driver's education in summer school sessions. The 2018-2019 school year will be my second year teaching driver's education during the regular school year.
