Mrs. Ana Lozano

Hello!  My name is Ana Lozano and I teach PLTW (Project Lead The Way) Classes: Medical Detectives and Automation & Robotics.
I married my high-school sweetheart, Johnny, in 1985. The military brought us to Missouri in 1999 and we have since made it our home. I've been a part of the Middle School Family since 2008.  It's a great school district and I love teaching these middle-schoolers.
We have two adult daughters and two sweet-as-can-be grandchildren that live in California...too far away!
I received my undergrad, in Organismal Biology, from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk) and my master's in Education from Drury University.
I like animals and try to pass this on to students.  We have class pets. A few snakes, geckos and a spider.  The students get to hold the snakes and the geckos, but only after they have shown the responsibility necessary and the respect for the animal and those around them.  It's a wonderful thing to see someone who was scared or had a fear become comfortable with the animals.
