Mrs. Ana Lozano

Hello!  My name is Ana Lozano and I teach PLTW (Project Lead The Way) Classes: Medical Detectives and Automation & Robotics.
I married my high-school sweetheart, Johnny, in 1985 and the military brought us to Missouri in 1999 and, we have since, made it our home. I've been with the Middle School since 2008.  It's a great school district and I love teaching these middle-schoolers.
We have two adult daughters and two sweet-as-can-be grandchildren that live in California...too far away!
I received my undergrad, in Organismal Biology, from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk) and my master's in Education from Drury University.
I sort of like animals and I try to pass this on to students.  We have class pets. A few snakes, geckos and a spider.  The students get to hold the snakes and the geckos, but only after they have shown the responsiblity necessary and the respect for the animal and those around them.  It's a wonderful thing to see someone who was scared or had a fear become comfortable with the animals.
