Welcome Back!
My name is Maxine Thompson. I am the Reading Specialist for grades 2 and 3 at Freedom Elementary School. I am married to Mike Thompson, a counselor in the Waynesville School District. We have two beautiful children, Madison and Mason. I was born on Fort Leonard Wood. I had the privilege to attend Waynesville schools from kindergarten, up until I graduated from Waynesville High School! I am a home town girl, who loves our community. I am very proud of our Waynesville schools!
My goal is to provide a fun, comfortable, yet structured, learning environment for my students. I look forward to a productive school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to working with you and your child.
