Mrs. Erlewine

Welcome to Sixth Grade!!  My name is Mrs. Erlewine.  I was born and raised in this area and I even attend the Waynesville School District as a child!

I earned my Bachelors Degree from College of the Ozarks, in Branson, Missouri.  I earned my masters degree through William Woods University, in curriculum and instruction.   I  am also certified to teach art k-12.  I have been teaching in the classroom since 2005.  I have have mostly taught kindergarten, but am ready to mix things up and teach art.   I am very excited to spend all day inspiring and creating art with your young artist!

I enjoy spending time with my family and love talking about them.  I am married to my best friend Dustin, and we have three wonderful children full of lots of personality.  They are Emmalie, Elliott, and Cooper. They do their best to keep me on my toes!

When I am not sharing my love of learning  and creating with my art classes or planning exciting things for us to do, I myself love to create (quilts, scrapbooks, painting, taking photos, etc.), fish and camp, cook, and spend time with my family!

I am really looking forward to this year!  Sixth Grade is such an exciting and transitional experience for students, families, and educators.  In just a few short months you will see your artist grow in to an even more responsible learner and student.  Many milestones will be met and surpassed on this quest for excellence.  I will help your artist to explore the world of art around themselves, gain knowledge in art history, develop a better understanding of the elements or art, as well as, the principles of design by considering how they are used in art creations. We will also explore a variety of art mediums.  I will give the young artists choices, while I help define limits.  I will encourage my young artists solve their own problems by giving suggestions and demonstrations.

Dedication, partnership, and communication are the foundation for our success as a classroom and school community. Your presence is strongly encouraged.  There are many ways to become part of your student’s school experience. You are the most important people in your students life. I respect and embrace this bond. I look forward to serving your family this school year.

I look forward to a wonderful year!  Please call me if you have any questions or concerns.
