Great ideas for practicing math

From Title 1

 

Kindergarten

  • YouTube videos - Jack Hartmann count to 100s by 1, 5, or 10
  • Practice writing numbers to 100 or even 120!  Write numbers counting by 5s or 10s
  • Google Random Base Ten Block generator.  Have student practice writing the number shown
  • Aaamath.com - Practice simple addition or subtraction problems within 20
  • Practice naming 2D and 3D shapes
  • Mathgames.com - Introduce graphing and other math skills

 

First grade

  • YouTube videos - Jack Hartmann even/odd songs
  • Practice writing numbers to 100 or even 200!  Write numbers counting by 5s or 10s
  • Google Random Base Ten Block generator.  Have student practice writing the number shown
  • Aaamath.com - Practice addition and subtraction problems.  Practice regrouping skills. Use up to 2 digit numbers
  • Mathgames.com - Introduce measurement, graphing, and telling time to the hour and half hour

 

Second grade
