Every school has its own website. Each teacher has a webpage. To go to an individual school's website: From the district's main website, click on "Select a School" from the drop down menu at the top right of the homepage. Multiple languages are available by selecting a language from the "Translate" drop down menu. Teacher pages may be reached by going to your child's school, clicking on the "Teachers" tab and then locating the teacher's name. Contact information for teachers are on their webpages.
3) Our Schools
The school your child will attend in grades K-5 depends on where you live. Check out the street names on the enrollment information form. Students in grade 6 will attend the Waynesville Sixth Grade Center. Students in grades 7 and 8 will attend Waynesville Middle School. Students in grades 9-12 will attend Waynesville High School. We offer a Freshmen and New Student Transition Day at WHS before school starts each year.
4) School Hours
Grades K-5 regular school hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Grade 6-12 regular school hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are 7:30 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. A "half day" of school for grades K-5 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays is 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. A "half day" of school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridaysfor grades 6-12 is from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Please also see information about Late Start Wednesdays under number 5 below. For exact times a child may be dropped off in the morning at your child's school and must be picked up by in the afternoon, please ask the main office staff at your child's school.
5) Late Start Wednesdays
We start 30 minutes later on Wednesdays and our buses run 30 minutes later on Wednesdays so that our teachers may participate in the Professional Learning Community Process. Dismissal times do not change on Wednesdays.
6) After-school Programs
We offer after-school programming. It's called Club Tiger. Click here to learn more about Club Tiger.
We offer free bus transportation. Route information is at https://www.waynesville.k12.mo.us/Domain/924 Each school has a desinated area for parent pick up and drop off. If a map is not included in your teacher packet during Meet the Teacher Night, please ask a secretary for the details.

The district offers FREE summer school with free, limited bus routes. We offer fun, hands-on learning activities with programs that range from enrichment to remedial. A majority of our students at all grade levels participate in our month-long, partial day summer school.

You must pass a background check to volunteer in Waynesville R-VI Schools. Information is at https://www.waynesville.k12.mo.us/Page/6889. Ask the main office staff about how you can become involved with PTO at your child's elementary school.
14) Tiger Athletics and Activities
Our Athletics page is at http://www.waynesvilletigerathletics.org. The Athletics Twitter account is WvilleSports. Through Club Tiger (see number 6 above), students become involved in multiple activities that typically rotate throughout the year to provide a variety of opportunities. Local organizations provide sports programs for students in grades K-6 and Waynesville Schools offer summer camps for students in grades 1-12. Waynesville offers competitive sports programs for students in grades 7-12. Multiple clubs and organizations are offered at the middle and high school levels, depending upon student interest and faculty availability. Music programs are offered at all elementary schools. Intermediate and Advanced Band and choir are offered at Waynesville Middle School. Multiple bands, choirs and music programs are available at Waynesville High School.
