Mrs. Laura Taylor

Hello! My name is Laura Taylor, and I am glad to be on the Thayer team this year. I have taught general elementary music since 2012, and I love what I do! I am from Springfield, Illinois. I have taught in Missouri, Virginia, and North Carolina. I live with my husband, children, and dog.

I received my Bachelor of Music Education from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO in 2012. I finished my course work for my Master of Music Education in Kodály Education from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO in 2022. I am very proud to say that I am officially an accredited Kodály educator as of 2022!

In my classroom, your student will learn a large variety of musical concepts in a play-based and joyful setting. Students will learn these concepts in a large variety of ways, including physical as well as social experience. Together, we will sing, play, dance, read, create, and learn in a fun, safe, and caring environment. I’m looking forward to working with your child!
