Ms. Florez

Hello, my name is Aimee Florez. I am from Crocker, Mo. I have 2 children, a daughter who is 12 and a son who is 5. I graduated from Crocker in 2006. I went to UMR to pursue a degree as a Civil Engineer. By the end of my first year in college, I decided to switch my degree to teaching. In 2009, when I had my daughter and decided to take a break from school. During this time, I worked at a Credit Union, in 3 different departments, learning about the banking world. I also coached the majority of my daughter's recreational league sports teams over the last 8 years. 

In 2019, I had an opportunity to go back to school to finish my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, through Western Governors University. I also began substitute teaching in the Crocker School District, to gain some experience in the classroom. In December 2021, I was hired by the Waynesville school district to work as a paraprofessional at East Elementary. This will be my first year as a teacher, and I am looking forward to meeting all my students and their families.

I spend the majority of my free time watching my kids and my niece play sports. For the majority of the last 8 years, I have coached a lot of my daughter’s and my niece’s sports teams, which has taken up a lot of my free time. This year I have finally decided to just be a parent in the stands watching and cheering them on.  I also enjoy being on the river, kayaking, fishing, hunting, cooking, baking, and playing sports.
