Ms. Alex Ellis

Hello! My name is Alex Ellis, and I'm thrilled to begin my second year in the ELA Department at Waynesville High School.

I was born and raised in this area, having graduated from Crocker in 2011, before I went on to attend Ozarks Technical Community College, and later Missouri State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Upon completing my undergraduate studies, I pursued a Master of Arts in K-12 School Counseling through Adams State University. At the same time as my graduate studies, I took an alternative route to teacher certification to pursue my passion for English. I am licensed to teach 5-12 ELA and for K-12 School Counseling. Before teaching at Waynesville, I taught ELA in Crocker for four years, and I was a paraprofessional for one year at Springfield Public Schools.

As a teacher, nothing is more important to me than building relationships with my students and letting them know that I care about them and their learning.

On my off time, I enjoy working out, spending time with family, playing with my dogs (Snoopy & Charlie), browsing social media, and obsessing over the holidays.

I'm looking forward to another great year!
